ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Candidate will be in charge when the Executive Chef or Lead Kitchen Supervisor is absent. Candidate is responsible for providing leadership support to the management team, to include but not limited to, organizing and training staff associated with the outlets as assigned by management in a fast-paced fun environment. Candidate should be able to assist with receiving deliveries, food rotation and discipline of line level associates. Candidate must be able to work independently under pressure, make split second decisions, ensure freshness and quality of product and be consistent. Supervisor must maintain all standards of the operation and work closely with service staff and outlet managers to ensure guest satisfaction is maintained. Candidate will adjust staffing levels according to anticipated volume. Candidate will provide operational relief to staff when needed while stressing quality, courtesy, and service to staff to ensure 100% guest satisfaction. Candidate must possess the ability to lead staff and guide guests comfortably under pressure in a fast-paced environment according to duties assigned by management. Candidate is responsible for all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Two years’ supervising experience is a must. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, daylight and evening. Candidate must also be able to manage, train and help with employee issues. Candidate will also oversee the quality of the employee’s service skills as well as the sanitation and area upkeep. Candidate must be able to lift minimally 50 pounds and work on their feet for long periods of time. Candidate will hold staff responsible for company and departmental policies and procedures and process appropriate documentation accordingly. Candidate must have the ability to make changes, follow cash handling procedures, and be familiar with Point of Sale systems. Candidate must possess basic computer skills to include Excel, Word documents as well as possess the willingness and ability to learn additional skills as assigned by management. Candidate is required to work closely with all managers, service and culinary staff to ensure success for the department. Food Safety Serve-Safe Certification is a plus. Candidate must be able to interact with internal and external guests with equal enthusiasm.
Candidate must obtain appropriate licensing and certifications as set forth by the PGCB and Presque Isle Downs.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent. Culinary Degree Preferred. Safe Food Handling Certification or equivalent preferred.
