JOB SUMMARY

Join the team at our upscale La Bonne Vie Steakhouse and be part of a fast-paced, high-energy dining experience! As a Food Runner, you’ll support our servers, keep service flowing, and help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clears and resets tables.
  • Stocks dinnerware.
  • Provides water and bread service to tables.
  • Replenishes soda bag in a box.
  • Polishes silverware according to the standards of the dining room.
  • Candidate will maintain a sanitized, neat and orderly work area and replenish items i.e. beverages, napkins, condiments etc. as assigned.
  • Candidate may be requested to expedite food to ensure guests’ satisfaction.
  • Must be able to carry food from the production line to the guest table.
  • Serves guests by following the pivot point method.
  • Retrieves additional items for guests in a professional manner.
  • Uses Safe Food Handling practices while handling food and service utensils at all times.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of menu items, including features.
  • Communicates to management in a timely fashion about any guest compliments or complaints.
  • May be required to watch over tables to clear courses once finished.
  • Performs cleaning duties in both the front and back of the house.
  • Works in a fun and friendly team environment while keeping assigned work areas and personal appearance neat, clean and organized.
  • Will work nights, weekends, holidays and special events.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals and menus.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

 

MATH ABILITY

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

No computer skills required.

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Candidate must be able to obtain appropriate licensing. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There are no supervisory responsibilities in this position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.  One year of food or hospitality service experience preferred.
