JOB SUMMARY

Shift into Leadership – Count Room Assistant Manager Wanted! 
Join our team and take charge of the Drop/Count operations! You'll lead the team during your shift, ensure compliance with policies and PGCB regulations, and support smooth and accurate drops across all gaming areas. Step into a leadership role where organization, teamwork, and attention to detail are key. Help train new team members, manage schedules, and keep everything running like clockwork!

 

Candidate will be responsible for the conduct of all Drop/Count Team members on their shift and the tasks assigned to the Drop/Count Team.  The Count Room Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Drop/Count Team members adhere to the company policies and procedures as well as following the PGCB regulations and standard operating procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate fills in for the Count Room Manager when Count Room Manager is not on duty.
  • Candidate will be responsible for all Drop/Count Team members on shift.
  • Candidate will resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Drop/Count Team completes replenishment, service and verification of all gaming voucher redemption machines on the gaming floor.
  • Candidate will ensure that the Drop/Count Team drops and counts lottery machines funds on property.
  • Candidate will ensure the Drop/Count Team drops and counts the slot machines.
  • Candidate will ensure the Drop/Count Team drops and counts the table games.
  • Candidate will ensure the Drop/Count Team drops and counts the self-service sports wagering kiosks.
  • Candidate will ensure that the Drop/Count Team drops the self service race betting machines and counts the funds from these machines.
  • Candidate is responsible for working with the Count Room Manager on scheduling.
  • Candidate will help improve efficiency and accuracy of the department by recommending and discussing changes with the Count Room Manager.
  • Candidate will be responsible for assisting with training new Drop/Count Team employees.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidate will take charge of the Drop/Count Team while working with them as needed.  Candidate will be responsible for evaluating performance of Drop/Count team employees in conjunction with the Count Room Manager.  Candidate will listen to and resolve any problems or grievances of Drop/Count Team employees.  Candidate will be responsible for helping with Drop/Count Team interviews. 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATH ABILITY

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must possess intermediate PC skills.  Microsoft Office experience required.

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent.  One year of money handling experience preferred.  Prior Drop/Count Team and Count Room experience required.

The noise level is moderate.  Candidate will be exposed to smoke when on the casino floor and in the cage.  Candidate must be able to work all shifts in a fast-paced, stressful, and physically demanding environment.
