JOB SUMMARY
Responsible in assisting with the overall day-to-day operations of the gaming department for the property to ensure compliance and profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the process of hiring, training, development, and efficient management of the gaming operations staff.
- Plans and organizes workloads and staff assignments as well as trains, motivates, and evaluates assigned staff.
- Maintains department standards, guidelines, and objectives, and oversees other administrative processes, such as staffing and payroll.
- Has knowledge of all HHR machines on the gaming floor and can determine proper payouts.
- Communicates with other department managers for situations that may arise and provides excellent guest service to guests and any needs they may have.
- Assists with scheduling training classes, issuing memos, maintaining payroll records for all department team members, providing pertinent information to all direct reports.
- Ensures that all jackpot transactions are completed accurately, and that jackpot slips and payment procedures are compliant with departmental internal controls and are completed within a reasonable amount of time.
- Ensures that all department paperwork and data entry is entered and completed correctly and that all forms have the required signatures. Documents may include but are not limited to, jackpot slips, appropriate tax documents, and guest claim forms.
- Ensures that all HHR machines are functioning properly and are available for play of guests.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years or more in a supervisory position is required in a high volume, complex environment.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- The Team Member will be required to stand and walk the duration of the shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The Team Member may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, flashing lightes, and secondhand smoke, depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
