JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing a high level of guest service to all guests, team members, and vendors. Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the property and its patrons. Responds to Security incidents and provides a visible security presence inside and outside of the facility. Observes patrons participating in gambling activities to detect and respond to infractions of house rules. Will maintain a high level of professionalism, customer service, and integrity while representing the Company in all interactions with guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for providing a high level of guest service to all guests, Team Members, and vendors. 
  • Responsible for the safety of all guests and Team Members of the property.
  • Records investigation and incident reports promptly.
  • Assists with the transfer of money throughout the property.
  • Patrols property during shift to ensure safety.
  • Controls and diffuses potential problems and assists Team Members and guests in emergencies.
  • Controls access to the property and restricted areas.
  • Responds to calls for assistance immediately.
  • Maintains radio contact with base during assigned shift.
  • Checks identification for gaming floor admittance, greeting guests and vendors positively and professionally.
  • Maintains crowd control, ensuring a friendly environment and defusing guest incidents.
  • Reports to supervisor/manager on day-to-day activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • Successful completion of training programs as required by jurisdiction and property.
  • Ability to communicate and comprehend information and ideas in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to accept, prioritize, and follow through on work direction.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service, law enforcement, military, or security, or pursuing a degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Basic computer skills required, such as knowledge of Word and the ability to learn and utilize menu-driven programs.
  • Must obtain a valid racing license, where applicable.
  • May be required to hold a valid driver’s license with a minimum of three years’ driving experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to sit or stand for extended amounts of time; walk for extended amounts of time; use hands to finger, reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.  The Team Member may also be required to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Team members will be subject to an environment with flashing lights.
  • The Team Member is required to circulate throughout the assigned areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and the functioning of machines.
