JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for monitoring the performance of electronic gaming devices, activity, and conditions of gaming areas, ensuring all HHR machines are operable and in good repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repairs and modifies components, electric systems, and peripherals of the gaming machines and kiosks.
- Maintains the electronic components, systems, and peripherals of gaming machines.
- Ensures compliance with approved procedures for the HHR areas in a professional manner.
- Configures HHR machines to meet manufacturers' and regulatory agency specifications.
- Removes, moves, installs, and/or upgrades HHR machines.
- Maintains an inventory of parts for the HHR machines.
- Proactive in monitoring and tracking the HHR machine malfunctions, the cause, the repair, and the parts involved.
- Tracks and records all test money usage and testing results.
- Notifies shift supervisor of irregularities in guests’ play.
- Has knowledge of all HHR machines on the gaming floor and can determine proper payouts.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent PC skills and a working knowledge of word processors and spreadsheets.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of gaming regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years’ experience as an HHR Technician/Bench Technician with A+ Certification preferred.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- The Team Member will be required to stand and walk for the shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The Team Member may be required to lift up to 50 pounds to include maneuvering up to 80 pounds.
- The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, flashing lights, and secondhand smoke, depending on the assigned station and guest volume
