JOB SUMMARY
The Security Manager is responsible for the safety of guests, employees, company property, and assets. Responsible for the overall supervision and management of the Security Department operations in the absence of the Director. Maintains a high level of guest service and provides effective conflict resolution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision, and Values of The Rose Gaming Resort.
- Develops, maintains a Service Culture that ensures the delivery of Superior internal/external guest service by all team members.
- Supervises and manages the daily activities of security staff for their respective shift.
- Maintains performance, personnel, and operational records.
- Oversees the physical security of the casino and company assets.
- Responsible for the physical safety of guests, employees, and property, recommends improvement measures.
- Conducts investigations of incidents and assists Human Resources in investigations as needed.
- Schedule rotation of officers throughout officer posts.
- Conduct training with officers.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and monitored during the shift.
- May be asked to operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that require a valid Driver’s License. Trains, develops, and schedules security staff.
- Disseminates pertinent information to security staff.
- Ensures department adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of all promotions and events.
- Conduct routine safety inspections throughout property and complete safety inspection reports.
- Conduct risk assessments, which involve analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing, and estimating the risks affecting the property.
- Provides support, education, and training to staff to build risk awareness.
- Investigate property damage claims and losses, submits reports to the third-party claims administration and assists in property claims management.
- Participate in the inspections and reviews of the Company’s operations and facilities for risk management.
- Coordinate the Company’s employee safety program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.
- Attend the required training sessions offered by the Company.
- Obtain and retain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
- Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Three (3) years supervisory experience in a high-volume complex gaming resort/casino.
- Virginia Racing Commission License
- Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
- Successful completion of an in-house training program.
- Ability to communicate and comprehend information and ideas in spoken and written English so others will understand.
- Ability to accept, prioritize and follow through on work direction.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations, utilizing rational thinking and decision making.
- A valid driver’s license is required with a good driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to work including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Frequently required to walk, run, kneel, stretch, push, twist, bend, and lift.
- Requires visual acuity to perform close-up activities and peripheral oversight.
- The ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
