JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the safety and security of the company assets, guests, and Team Members while maintaining guest satisfaction and supporting the business’ core values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures the smooth operation of the department by following prescribed policies and procedures, and by adhering to and enforcing the responsible gaming plan and internal control policies and procedures.
  • Attends daily briefings and meetings; is on time and participates in a positive manner.
  • Writes reports in a clear and concise manner noting only information based on facts, without interjection of one’s opinion.
  • Responds to all non-routine incidents taking appropriate actions and making the proper notifications.
  • Performs currency transports in accordance with gaming procedures.
  • Communicates with other security personnel via two-way radios, using established "10-codes".
  • Responds to all guest incidents.
  • Ensures quick, fair and consistent results to guests complaints.
  • Safeguards property assets.
  • Responds and reacts to First Aid situations and administering CPR.
  • Ensures the integrity of gaming, banking, count room and cash handling procedures.
  • Responsible for proper handling of confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials.
  • Responsible for communication within the department, ensuring that information is shared with Team Members.
  • Informs management team of information necessary to the efficient operation of the business.
  • Maintains knowledge of gaming laws/racing regulations, and company policies to ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
  • Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year experience in security or law enforcement training, schooling, or certification is preferred.
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The Team Member will be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The Team Member may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise and flashing lights depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
