Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming will be a newly constructed facility in a high-traffic area in Calvery City, Kentucky at the intersection of I-69 and I-24. The Property will feature nearly 240 state-of-the-art historical racing machines (“HRMs”), a sports bar and a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering, and food and beverage offerings. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for leading the successful overall direction, administration, and coordination of all operating activities of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming including Pre-opening activities, culture creation, staffing, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and the ongoing operations of historical racing machine operations, gaming operations, simulcast operations, sportsbook operations, and entertainment operations.

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Coordinator at Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by developing and executing marketing strategies aimed at attracting and retaining VIP players. This position involves cultivating strong relationships with guests through personalized communication, organizing special events, and managing promotional campaigns across various channels. The coordinator will also oversee social media content, ensure accurate promotional materials, and collaborate with other departments to enhance guest satisfaction and drive revenue.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the property leaders in the coordination, and execution of special events, promotions, VIP programs, gift giveaways, tournaments, and more as assigned.  
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with VIP players through in-person interaction, events, personalized communications, follow-up calls, and targeted outreach.
  • Manage guest requests and personally resolve issues promptly, ensuring complete guest satisfaction and follow-up.
  • Award complimentary gifts, tickets, or services in accordance with gaming activity and program guidelines.
  • Maintain a consistent presence on the gaming floor, engaging with returning guests and actively recruiting non-carded guests to join the Player Rewards program.
  • Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities, & marketing programs to guests. 
  • Provide after-hours assistance and promptly resolve guest issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address guest-related questions or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough guest records, activity logs, and reports.
  • Plan, book, and oversee the execution of all entertainment in coordination with event leadership.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and public-facing venues to enhance event sponsorships and meet the property’s operational needs.
  • Represent the property at off-site functions to entertain or assist guests as needed.
  • Actively monitor social media channels for guest feedback, respond as needed, and foster interactive dialogue to build strong relationships with our guests.
  • Develop and distribute the "In the Know" marketing update flyers for property team members, ensuring they are informed about all marketing initiatives and upcoming events.
  • Manage the installation of property signage, ensuring it is accurate, relevant, and free of spelling and grammatical errors.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and endorse business objectives, ethics, and values of the company and property.
  • Develop good working relationships with all property leaders as well as marketing leaders at other CDI properties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • One to two years of casino experience, preferably with a 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of Player Tracking Systems, Microsoft Products.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
