Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming will be a newly constructed facility in a high-traffic area in Calvert City, Kentucky at the intersection of I-69 and I-24. The Property will feature nearly 240 state-of-the-art historical racing machines (“HRMs”), a sports bar and a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering, and food and beverage offerings. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for leading the successful overall direction, administration, and coordination of all operating activities of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming including Pre-opening activities, culture creation, staffing, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and the ongoing operations of historical racing machine operations, gaming operations, simulcast operations, sportsbook operations, and entertainment operations.
JOB SUMMARY
The IT Technician role supports enterprise IT initiatives, ensures compliance with all regulatory standards, and safeguards system security and data integrity. As the sole on-site IT presence, the IT Technician manages the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all property technology, including back-office systems, front-of-house systems, networking, telecommunications, and gaming-related systems, while delivering exceptional internal customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary on-site IT contact for the property, addressing all hardware, software, networking, and telecommunications needs.
- Set up, configure, and maintain hardware such as computers, printers, servers, phones, and related equipment.
- Install, troubleshoot, and update company-approved software and web applications.
- Provide hands-on support for front-of-house and back-office systems, ensuring operational uptime.
- Support gaming-related IT systems in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Coordinate with the Sr. Director of IT at Oak Grove Gaming for strategic planning, enterprise-wide IT initiatives, and complex troubleshooting.
- Administer server-based systems across all departments, ensuring proper backups, recovery processes, and system security.
- Ensure data integrity and safeguard property data from potential security breaches.
- Assist with technology-related components of property marketing promotions and special events.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset inventories, and maintenance logs.
- Provide quality customer service to team members through timely problem resolution and proactive education to prevent recurring issues.
- Manage and prioritize multiple IT projects in coordination with Oak Grove Gaming’s IT leadership.
- Support and enforce IT-related policies and procedures to maintain SOX, PCI, and other regulatory compliance.
- Assist in developing the IT budget for the property and monitor expenditures.
- Be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as needed to support 24/7 operations.

- Effectively report to both the Gaming Operations Manager and Sr. Director of IT, establishing clear and consistent communication between the two to ensure alignment on property needs and enterprise IT objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Three to five years of IT experience, preferably in a gaming or hospitality environment.
- Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with gaming system software (e.g., Aristocrat Oasis) preferred.
- Knowledge of Windows and SQL Server operations and security.
- Familiarity with enterprise networking, telecommunications, and IT compliance requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
