Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming will be a newly constructed facility in a high-traffic area in Calvert City, Kentucky at the intersection of I-69 and I-24. The Property will feature nearly 240 state-of-the-art historical racing machines (“HRMs”), a sports bar and a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering, and food and beverage offerings. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for leading the successful overall direction, administration, and coordination of all operating activities of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming including Pre-opening activities, culture creation, staffing, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and the ongoing operations of historical racing machine operations, gaming operations, simulcast operations, sportsbook operations, and entertainment operations.
JOB SUMMARY
The F&B Cashier will ensure the consistent quality of products and be responsible for the preparation and sale of all food items in accordance with menu standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.
- Greeting guests approaching the service area.
- Responsible for preparing and selling all food items on the menu and handling all cash transactions.
- Responsible for meticulously cleaning and sanitizing all food service equipment used to prepare and serve the menu items.
- Must be able to operate all equipment in the stand.
- Maintain current knowledge of daily menus and prices.
- Ensure proper stock of product and supplies needed for service.
- Responsible for opening and closing inventories.
- Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
- Performs clean-up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of concession stand operations.
- Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
- All internal and external guests must be treated in a manner to ensure complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed our guests’ expectations.
- Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to the Company’s Service Standards.
- Able to interact with internal and external guests in a friendly/fast manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for 8-10 hours.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work an alternate schedule with a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer Service or Food & Beverage experience is preferred.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
