JOB SUMMARY
Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino only 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches and boardwalk of Ocean City, MD! This is a part time, year around position with an excellent compensation package. This includes paid sick time, paid vacation time and 401k options. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
- Responsible for accurate exchange of currency and coin.
- Complies with Currency Transaction Reporting Procedures and Guidelines.
- Responsible to accurately sell & redeem tickets for currency and coins.
- Responsible to work all front line window locations.
- Counts and verifies all cash turn-ins to the Dealer.
- Responsible for safeguarding of currency.
- Complies with Maryland Racing Commission Regulations.
- Promotes outstanding customer relations.
- Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Previous money handling experience.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position. American Sign Language is also an acceptable form of communication.
- Ability to consistently comprehend, retain and execute written, verbal and demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
- Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland Racing Commission required of all Racing Services employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
