JOB SUMMARY
Exacta Systems is an industry leader that provides robust, innovative solutions to gaming entertainment. We are seeking a Scrum Master, Engineering to serve as a servant leader and agile coach for our engineering teams, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role is responsible for facilitating agile ceremonies, removing impediments, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment. The Scrum Master partners closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and consistent execution against business priorities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Agile Facilitation: Lead and facilitate all agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
- Team Coaching & Development: Serve as a coach to engineering teams and product partners on agile principles, best practices, and team effectiveness.
- Impediment Removal: Identify, track, and proactively remove blockers and impediments that impact team delivery, escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Sprint Execution & Accountability: Partner with Product Owners and Engineering Leads to ensure clear backlog prioritization, realistic sprint commitments, and consistent delivery against sprint goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven retrospectives, actionable improvement plans, and agile maturity advancement.
- Metrics & Reporting: Track and communicate key agile metrics (velocity, capacity, throughput, cycle time, defects, etc.) to promote transparency and performance optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration across engineering, product, QA, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and dependency management.
- Change Management & Adaptability: Support teams through shifting priorities, evolving requirements, and organizational change while maintaining delivery discipline.
- Process Optimization: Continuously assess and refine agile processes, tools, and workflows to enhance team efficiency and delivery outcomes.
- Psychological Safety & Culture: Promote a culture of trust, accountability, inclusivity, and high engagement within the engineering organization.
- Tool & Workflow Management: Support effective use of agile project management tools to ensure visibility, transparency, and workflow efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- 4+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting engineering teams through full software development life cycles.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience working with Product Owners, Engineering Leaders, and QA teams in an agile delivery environment.
