Position Title: Director of Product Management
Reports To: President, Exacta Systems
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Overview
The Director of Product Management at Exacta Systems will be a visionary and results-driven leader to
champion our product delivery initiatives. In this role, they will be responsible for managing the product
development lifecycle, driving innovation, and aligning our offerings with market demands and
customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams,
delivering cutting-edge products, and scaling development processes in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Defines and drives product vision and strategy taking full responsibility for the product roadmap
• Develops a strong team of product managers/owners and designers through recruiting, training, and ongoing coaching
• Leads the product roadmap prioritization through the evaluation of data, customer behavior and feedback, financial analysis, and stakeholder input
• Defines and is responsible for go to market strategy including pricing, target customers, product messaging, and metrics for measuring success in collaboration with Sales/Marketing, Product Development, and Field Support departments
• In collaboration with senior engineering team, creates a culture of empowered product managers that are focused on delivering business results
• Leads strong collaboration efforts between user experience design and engineering to ensure product solutions are valuable, usable, feasible, and viable
• Oversees collaboration with cross functional business teams in order to ensure successful product launches
• Reinforces a culture of data-driven decision making
• Develops into the recognized expert on our company’s customers and users
• Gathers feedback from our customers to understand their desires and pain points
Requirements
• Experience defining, driving, and executing product strategy in gaming or online business through a strategic and effective roadmap
• Experience owning complex products and working with senior and top-level stakeholders
• Ability to communicate cross-functionally: being tech-savvy with engineering/product teams, along with being able to navigate conversations about cost structures, margins, market share, compliance, product positioning, and brand with marketing, finance, legal, and operations teams
• Top-tier collaborator with high level of emotional intelligence
• Deep knowledge of UX & Design/Software Development/Program Management
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication and presentation skills in order to effectively describe, educate, and persuade
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Strong background in UX and Design in the gaming industry
• Desire to take initiative in identifying and improving established processes
• Passionate about creating great online/mobile products
• Desire to learn about the horse racing market and to develop a deep understanding of our industry, business, and target customers
Preferred Qualifications
• Casino systems experience, particularly in central determinant, CMS, or progressives, is a plus, but not a requirement
• Slot management experience is a plus, but not a requirement
