JOB SUMMARY

The Night Auditor is responsible for reviewing and processing source data to provide accurate and timely entry into hotel systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes and records all hotel monetary transaction as well as reviews, organizes, and compiles management reports to ensure the accuracy of guest billings and general ledger transactions
  • Reconciles all guest folios while identifying and fixing errors
  • Audits and processes source documents in accordance with established departmental procedures to facilitate timely and accurate recording of hotel and related revenue
  • Notifies hotel management of any potential discrepancies and assists with research and resolution of problems
  • Initiates the generation of and coordinates the distribution of various hotel system reports
  • Performs duties of front desk clerk as needed (i.e., greets and registers guests)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent math and communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hotel operations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, accounting systems, and other computer applications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of experience in a customer service environment preferred
  • Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable

  • The employee is frequently required to sit for the length of the shift.

  • The noise level in the work environment is subject to various levels of noise.
  • The employee may be exposed to smoke when on the floor of the gaming room.
